Event Date

We are the Sooke chapter of the Broombusters Invasive Plant Society, a registered non-profit society in BC, Canada with a mission to educate and empower communities to contain the spread of Scotch Broom, anywhere. There are over 600 other Broombuster volunteers in 12 different municipalities on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.  Broombusters started in 2006 in Qualicum Beach.  Unfortunately, Sooke is ground-zero for scotch broom in North America.

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location: Meet at Seaparc Leisure Centre.

From there we'll scout out scotch broom along Phillips Rd staying close to Seaparc.

*Visibility vests will be provided*

We'll then take a stroll up Phillips Rd towards Sunriver cutting any broom we see along the way.

Feel free to stay the whole 2 hours or part ways when it's convenient for you.  Let me know when you leave so I am able to log your volunteers hours.

Before you cut with us:

- The waivers only need to be signed once.

- Last years volunteers do not need to re-sign as long as I have your waivers.
