Congratulations to the MGABC 2023 Golden Trowel Award recipients. This year was an unexpected one as we had two deserving winners. Congratulations to Birthe Miller from the Prince George Chapter and Rachael Fleming, the Okanagan Chapter.
Please stay tuned for more information on our Golden Trowel award winners for this year. But to start a brief description of Prince George winner, Birthe.
Birthe received outstanding letters of support for the application her Chapter members put in for her Nomination. Her commitment, service, mentoring and friendship to the Master Gardeners of Prince George are truly impressive. Quotes from her letters of support sum up her contribution..."We call her the woman who never sleeps. For how is it otherwise possible to accomplish all that she does in one day, one month or one year?" To follow.. "Birthe's personal skills make her a consummate facilitator and a wonderful, generous friend to all. She takes care of her volunteers and is the type of person that makes you want to follow her and do good work. She has been instrumental in raising the MG profile and enhancing gardening in the north. We are so grateful to have her on our team, sharing and promoting our interests.
Please join me in congratulating Birthe for the Golden Trowel Award for 2023!
