Event Date

Scotch Broom is a highly invasive woody weed. It grows rapidly, crowding out native plants and preventing regrowth, retarding or preventing the growth of many understory species, preventing the regrowth of forests, leading to a dramatic loss of diversity.

Come out and join the group for a Broombusting adventure!

4-5:30 p.m.

Location: Meet at Phillips Rd & Riverstone Drive.

There's enough roadside parking for everyone!  Signs will be up!  Can't miss us!  As we clear broom we head downhill.

Before you cut with us there are 2 waivers to sign (on site) before you start.

- The waivers only need to be signed once/per season.

- Last years volunteers will be asked to re-sign for this season.

- Check out broombusters.org before coming out so you know what to expect.

Once you've participated in at least one event and have signed the waivers; please feel free to cut at this location at your leisure.

Please keep a record of your volunteer hours if cutting outside event dates & times - email the hours to: laurablack79@yahoo.ca.
